Our Findings

In a survey that Enrich & Empower conducted recently, we found that Afro-Caribbean women residents in North London need more opportunities to socialise and support each other, would like to be involved in holistic events, and need encouragement to build skills in selling products, information on services for families, pregnancy support, advice on growing businesses, peer support and get-togethers. Support with access to funding is an issue, as well as supporting local talents. For some, incorporating a range of activities into one would be exceptional. According to the organisation called “Drugs and Alcohol Support UK” Turning Point (2024), more black women need to be engaged in ways that work for them.
